Before Halloween Night (the previous year) Funny thing about quiet — it don’t last forever. Simon said someone wanted to hire me for a bachelor party. Now, I don’t usually do private parties, but I needed the money so I took the gig. I get there and these fool-ass men are already drunk. Who cares? It’s mad money and Lord knows I need all I can get right now. I’m not even trying to play. I want to get in, do my job, and get the hell out. Simon always warned me about going off by myself, but what can happen? Extra cash I keep telling myself, but this goes against everything Mama raised me to be, to do. I’m supposed to be graduating from college in the spring with my friends, but I’m gonna fail two classes; can’t take them in the summer neither. Have to wait until the fall. Tuition fund ran out and I need this money to pay for those classes. Sure, the semester is only half over. Walking Limb, Ohio is the quintessential small town. Made up of a diverse group of inhabitants called Limbers, they've had their share of secrets over the years, but for the most part, they love doing what they can to support their hometown and loved ones.  As Memorial Day approaches, Limbers find themselves amongst chaos when a mysterious dead body floats to the surface in the river that runs through downtown. Plus, with the kickoff of the town's annual landscaping competition, many contestants are met with the wrecking force of a lawnmower bandit who has a vendetta.   Its all too much for this once quiet town to handle. With a murder to solve, Limbers congregate at the town's newest hot spot for coffee and books, the Smiling Puppy Cafe, only to find that more death, deceit, lies, and secrets lie ahead. Curious as to what this madness of Walking Limb is all about? Well, welcome to Walking Limb's very own blog! Here, you can follow me my journey as I prepare this series to life. Walking Limb is a town in South Eastern Ohio, somewhere between Columbus and Dayton. It's a small farming town with deep roots and deep secrets.
